Dr Nguyen is currently a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at UniSQ. He researches in the broad area of Civil Engineering with a focus on Monitoring and Infrastructure Technologies. (1) Dr Nguyen leads the Monitoring and Infrastructure Technologies (MIT) research group, focusing on innovative Structural Health Monitoring and Infrastructure Management solutions, advanced Engineering Materials and Structures, and novel AI applications in Engineering. As of mid-2025, our team is particularly looking for Master of Research candidates capable of (i) developing generative AI solution for enhancing SHM data condition for bridge assessment, (ii) undertaking numerical analysis of new cold-formed steel (CFS) structures subject to advanced loading conditions, such as elevated temperature, and combined wind and fire.
