Ayden is an experienced mental health nurse in acute, community and non-government settings. He has knowledge and skills in a variety of counselling and therapeutic models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Art Therapy. Making the transition to academia came naturally as Ayden seeks to improve person-centred, trauma-informed care in mental health services globally. With experience in clinical facilitation and teaching, Ayden offers a down to earth and conversational approach to engaging students in their learning journeys. As a father of 4, with an interest in guitar and gaming, Ayden uses his breadth of personal experiences to further engage students and create meaningful connections. Ayden strives for excellence in nursing, and has a keen interest in promoting human rights for all, however especially those experiencing involuntary treatment.
