Dr. Behshad Jodeiri Shokri is a highly accomplished geotechnical and mining engineer with dual doctoral degrees: a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia (2025, awarded for Excellence in Doctoral Research). His expertise spans rock bolt technology, geotechnical reinforcement systems, numerical modelling, geophysics, and environmental geochemistry. Over his career, he has combined experimental research, advanced simulation, and data-driven approaches, contributing significantly to improving the safety, durability, and sustainability of underground mining and civil infrastructure.

With more than two decades of academic, research, and consulting experience, Dr. Jodeiri has held positions as Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer at Hamedan University of Technology, and Mining Consultant for industry projects. He has led and collaborated on numerous high-profile research programs, including Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP) initiatives on next-generation fibreglass rock bolts, resin performance, and axial/shear load transfer mechanisms. His publication record exceeds 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and multiple book chapters, 70 high prestigues conference articles, and he has served as a reviewer for over 380 international journal papers, earning multiple “Outstanding Reviewer” awards from Elsevier.

Dr. Jodeiri is also recognised for his leadership and service to the professional community, serving as a guest editor for international journals, a member of scientific and technical committees for global conferences, and a lifetime member of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences. His contributions have been acknowledged through numerous awards, including recognition as an Outstanding Researcher, Best Educational Professor, and recipient of a prestigious Australian Permanent Residency via the Global Talent Independent Program. Skilled in advanced computational tools, laboratory testing, and field instrumentation, Dr. Jodeiri continues to bridge the gap between innovative research and practical industry solutions.
