Professor Catherine Prentice is Professor of Marketing and Head of the Marketing Discipline at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. Over the past decade, she has published extensively in leading Q1 marketing and management journals, authored three research monographs, and delivered numerous keynote addresses, seminars, and workshops at international conferences and institutions.
Professor Prentice has been consistently recognized as a leading researcher in Marketing and Strategic Management by The Australian and Research Magazine. Her research interests span artificial intelligence, cobotics, emotional intelligence, service research, consumer psychology and behavior, branding, relationship marketing, tourism, hospitality, and gambling studies.
She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Strategic Business Research, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, and Regional Editor of the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (Q1). In addition, she is Associate Editor for several Q1 journals, including Service Industries Journal, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Management, and Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science, and sits on the editorial boards of more than a dozen Q1 journals.
Prior to her academic career, Professor Prentice was an entrepreneur, owning multiple businesses and consulting firms, and held senior executive roles in one of the largest corporations in the Asia-Pacific region.
