Biography

As Senior Manager (Student Learning Advising) I provide strategic leadership for learning support services that enhance student success and engagement. My leadership responsibilities include peer learning, learning advising, and support services for students studying in offline learning environments, ensuring learners have access to the resources, guidance, and opportunities needed to succeed in ways that are meaningful to them.

My leadership philosophy is grounded in collaboration, continuous learning, and a strengths-based approach to development. I strive to create supportive environments that empower members of the team to realise their potential and, in turn, enhance the experiences and outcomes of the students we serve.

I maintain an active commitment to scholarship and research, contributing to projects that support student development and advance evidence-based practice in higher education. My research interests include student learning and development, rural and remote student experiences, equitable opportunities for learning and skill development, dispositional optimism, and vocational psychology. As a member of the Australian Collaboratory for Career, Employability & Learning for Living (ACCELL), I collaborate with researchers and practitioners exploring adaptive capacity, career development, and learning for living in a rapidly changing world.

My expertise is underpinned by a multidisciplinary academic foundation in psychology, education, and learning development. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (UniSQ), a Master of Learning and Development, a Graduate Certificate in Education Studies (UniSA), a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours), and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction. This multidisciplinary foundation informs my approach to student success, learning, career development, and higher education leadership.

To stay connected with scholarship, innovation, and emerging practice in higher education, student success, and research, I maintain membership with the American Psychological Association (APA), Association for Academic Language and Learning (AALL), Australasian Association for Engineering Education, Australian Association for Education Research (AARE), Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA), Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Higher Education Research Development Society Australasia (HERDSA).
