Biography

I am an experienced midwife in the areas of clinical practice, midwifery education and research. My research focus areas are breastfeeding experience and childbearing women's use of social media. I am an experienced midwifery educator having undertaken roles in midwifery clinical and tertiary education over a period of 18 years. I have developed extensive skills in online teaching, blended learning and course/program development. I have received awards and commendations for my teaching and strive to lead through innovation and peer support. I have gained post-graduate qualifications in the areas of higher education and research. I am passionate about improving maternity care across the globe, as evidenced by my significant volunteer contribution to maternity education via not-for-profit organisations.
