Executive Support

With over thirty-five years' experience, Professor Lyn Alderman is a higher education and evaluation expert who specialises in process and impact evaluation, monitoring and evaluation frameworks design, policy design and program conceptualisation, institutional learning analytics, performance models and engendering widespread organisational change. Lyn currently holds the position of Dean (Academic Transformation) at the University of Southern Queensland tasked with leading the development and implementation of University-wide initiatives with the goals of strengthening education quality, learning and teaching, and the student experience. This role encompasses curriculum review and accreditation, recognition of prior learning, evaluation methodologies, academic integrity, micro-credentials, curriculum management system, monitoring and reporting, digital learning creatives, educational technology, curriculum enhancement conversations all leading to an improved experience for students. Recent highlights are the establishment of a graduate program and an undergraduate degree focused solely on the transition of veterans from defence into industry.

As the inaugural Chief Evaluator, Australian Department of Social Services (2017-2019), Lyn worked across all streams and sections across the department project managing $17 million in evaluation projects and procuring $25 million in external independent evaluations. Lyn’s experience spans several sectors including government, nonprofit, corporate, higher education and vocational education. Her qualifications include: Doctor of Philosophy in evaluation of higher education government policy; Master of Education research in curriculum analysis; and Bachelor of Education (Adult Education).
