Dr Douglas Eacersall is a Senior Lecturer (Researcher Development and Applied Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia. He is also the Learning Advisor (Higher Degree by Research). He has worked on numerous research projects, including a major Australian Research Council project. He recently received a grant to develop a research specific AI literacy framework and has presented his 7 ethical AI principles at Oxford and Cambridge universities. Douglas facilitates the AI Network for Education and Research DevelopmentS (AINERDS) group, the Human-AI Collaborative Knowledgebase for Education and Research (HACKER) network and is on the board of several international journals. He is also the recipient of a 2024 International Publication Award and the UniSQ Outstanding Contribution to Graduate Research and Training Award. Douglas welcomes opportunities to collaborate, speak and supervise in the areas of Applied AI and Researcher Development.
