Eden Hurn is a Bachelor of Wildlife Science Graduate from the University of Queensland and completed her Honours in a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Environment & Sustainability with the University of Southern Queensland in 2024. Her work was centred around using Artificial Refuges to assist in surveying reptiles and amphibians in the Darling Downs. Eden's main goal is to increase research around Darling Downs reptiles and amphibians and increase surveying efficiency.

Eden currently works at UniSQ as a Research Assistant working in reptile research. Eden also works at a Wildlife Teaching Facility as an Animal Attendant. In the past, Eden has provided teaching assistance for courses such as Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Australian Terrestrial Vertebrates and Biology. She was a head demonstrator in Biology and Animal Anatomy and Physiology. These experiences gave her the skills to provide teaching assistance and inspired her into pursuing a career in post-graduate wildlife studies.
