Jonathan Crowe is Research Professor of Law and Justice at the University of Southern Queensland, where he was Dean of the School of Law and Justice from 2023 to 2025. He previously taught at the University of Queensland and Bond University, and has held visiting positions at Georgetown University and the University of Texas at Austin.

Professor Crowe is recognised internationally for his work on legal, moral and political philosophy, with a focus on the natural law tradition. He has also published research on various fields of public law, particularly constitutional law and criminal law. He is the author or editor of twelve books and more than 130 book chapters and journal articles. His books include Australian Constitutional Law: Principles in Movement (Oxford University Press, 2022), Mediation Ethics: From Theory to Practice (Edward Elgar, 2020) and Natural Law and the Nature of Law (Cambridge University Press, 2019).

Professor Crowe is a founding Director of Rape and Sexual Assault Research and Advocacy (RASARA), an Australia-wide organisation working to shape responses to sexual violence. He is an Honorary Life Member of the Australasian Society of Legal Philosophy, having served as its President from 2014 to 2018. He co-edits the Journal of Legal Philosophy.
