Jane Batham is an experienced educator and sessional academic with more than twenty-five years’ experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Her professional background includes roles as a classroom teacher, computer specialist, curriculum leader, digital learning facilitator, and digital pedagogies consultant.

Jane’s teaching and research interests centre on STEM education, with a particular focus on using technology-rich, inquiry-based approaches to engage learners and develop key capabilities such as creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. She is passionate about empowering teachers to design meaningful learning experiences that enable students to apply their knowledge to real-world contexts and make a positive difference in their communities.

As a lifelong learner, Jane is currently completing a PhD in STEM education, exploring innovative pedagogies that support deep learning and teacher practice. Her work reflects a strong commitment to contemporary curriculum, inclusive practice, and educational innovation.
