Murray is a casual lecturer in the Aviation discipline of the School of Business at the University of Southern Queensland. Murray currently lectures in Safety Management, Human Factors, International Aviation Systems and Safety Culture in Aviation. Murray has over thirty years of experience in the aviation industry. He has held senior management and training roles in a range of sub-sectors including international airlines, corporate and general aviation. As Chief Pilot and Head of Check and Training, Murray has developed a keen appreciation of the development and implementation of safety management systems and the impact of human factors on safety. Murray's research has focussed on the impact of human factors in commercial unmanned aerial vehicle operations.
