I am an educational design and technology expert with nearly 25 years experience of working in educational and digital design, learning technologies, and web development in Australian and UK universities.
My current role involves innovation in curriculum and pedagogy. Such work includes supporting the review, development and redesign of programs, incorporating educational innovation such as digital immersive and simulation activities for health and allied health programs, implementing and critically evaluating inherent requirements, and integrating reflective portfolios into programs.
My research interests are in understanding how innovations in technology can be harnessed to make a positive contribution to people’s lives by supporting their inherent motivational capacities, engaged learning, and personal flourishing. Such technologies include online learning environments, immersive technologies, and mobile technologies. I am a UniSQ accredited HDR supervisor and to date have completed four students.
