Dr Park Thaichon is the Australian most published author (marketing) by Scholarly Output in Australia over the period 2017 to >2022 and 2019 to >2022 (SciVal, 2022). He has grown a national and international research profile by publishing in high-quality journal outlets and achieved a hg-index over 30 (ranked at the highest possible score percentile at the Senior Lecturer level academics, Soutar et al., 2015 - ANZMAC November 2018). Park has supervised several PhD candidates to completion. His commitment to mentoring HDR students is shown in sponsoring more than twenty PhD candidates to attend international conferences. He has been working with ECRs and PhD candidates on publications and projects which resulted in more than 80 A-ranked papers being accepted and published with A-ranked outlets.

Park's research, teaching, and consulting focus are on digital marketing, technology, relationship marketing, and consumer behaviour. He is open to research collaboration, consulting projects, and commercial research. He has been working with organizations such as Australia-ASEAN Council, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), AGL Energy Ltd, True Corporation Ltd, Nhon Trach New Industry City Ltd, among others.
The fundamental aim of his research is for a better tomorrow - “I wish that my current and future research would contribute to the overall benefits and well-being of the society”.

Park has been appointed to various leadership roles, for instance, in Research (Acting Director of Research), Learning and Teaching (Program Director, Master of Marketing), Student Recruitment and Agent Engagements (Departmental International Lead), and Academic Community Service (Associated Editor, Australasian Marketing Journal). Park is also a Course Developer for core courses in the marketing major. His courses are known for incorporating real-world experiences into student learning, for example, (1) Sales negotiation simulations, (2) Consumer behaviour via the lenses of neuromarketing, and (3) Interviews and co-creation with CEOs and managers.
