Dr. Thanveer Shaik is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in academia, industry, and research. He holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), specializing in Federated Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Machine Unlearning for privacy-preserving healthcare solutions. With a Master’s in Applied Data Science and a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Thanveer combines a strong educational foundation with professional expertise. Currently serving as a Business Intelligence Analyst at UniSQ, he manages complex datasets, develops Power BI dashboards, and automates workflows to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. His industry experience at Tech Mahindra included designing Digital Twin models for turbine health monitoring and deploying scalable machine learning solutions. Thanveer’s research has been published in high-impact journals like Information Fusion and IEEE TKDE, and he has collaborated with academic and industry partners globally. Recognized for his contributions, he has received multiple awards, including the Dr. Barbara Harmes Memorial Prize and Queensland Health funding. As an educator, Thanveer has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Cybersecurity, Data Science, Software Engineering, and Programming, integrating active learning methods and achieving outstanding feedback scores. His ability to blend research, professional experience, and innovative teaching positions him as a leader in advancing knowledge and fostering impactful collaborations.
