I am a compassionate nursing professional. My great passion is caring of human beings when they are vulnerable in their health. My qualifications, experiences and my skills help to serve the human beings to best of my ability, while I take on challenges within the University sector with a passion to teach. I love to teach, lead, innovate and embrace diversity to enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students in the delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses within nursing.
My continuous dedication in nursing is delivered in combination with my strong work ethics and professional values. The linguistically diverse background and culture within myself is a source of strength to the students and colleagues, whereas it has an inclusive working environment with employees from a variety of backgrounds as I acknowledge that diversity in the university workforce increases the effectiveness of teams and the capacity for innovation.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Nursing degree from University of Southern Queensland and postgraduate of Master degree of Nursing (Advanced Practice) from University of Newcastle. I also possess Rural & Isolated Practice Registered (Division1) Nurse qualification to advance my clinical practice. Being in the current clinical environment with Queensland health and St. Vincent¿s private hospital I have significant understanding of the trends and issues in nursing education through my work experiences, higher education and research journal based knowledge that gives me a great ability to deliver effective clinical facilitation, education and best practice for the students.
My research interest preferably lies on rural and remote health/nursing where I have great interest in inter professional learning pedagogy.
