Dr. Jayantha Epaarachchi is an Associate Professor in School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, University of Southern Queensland. He has obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Newcastle, Australia in 2003. To date, he has edited one book and published book chapters, journal and conference papers more than 120. He has completed 10 PhD projects as a principal supervisor and currently supervising 5 PhD project. His major research areas are Structural Health Monitoring and Development of Smart Composite Materials and Structures, Fatigue and Fracture of Composite Structures. A/Professor Epaarachchi shares a patent with Boeing Aircraft Co for SHM using Fibre Optic Sensors. He is an Editorial Member of Structural Health Monitoring An International Journal (SAGE Publication).
